Nani nani

Lullabies are usually simple compositions, wich sung in a calm and soothing manner, help children have a peaceful and fearless sleep. This is an example of the Bulgarian Safaradi tradition, where the mother tells the child on her lap about his father´s infidelity in a tragic tone.
it´s one of the few examples of lullabies which made it to present time, since they were replaced by romances, whit their repetitive and monotonous melodies, and tangled stories which go on forever in eternal loops, entertaining the child as much as the singer.

lyrics

Nani, nani, nani,
nani, nani, kere el hidjo,
el hidjo de la madre,
de chiko se haga grande.

Ai,
ay, durmitex mi alma,
ay, durmitex, mi vista,
ke tu padre viene
con muça alegria.

Nani, nani, nani,
nani, nani, kere el hijo,
el hidjo de la madre,
de chiko se haga grande.

Ai, abrir no vos abro
No, no venix cansado,
