“La partida del esposo”.
También es frecuente en la baladística pan-europea este tema de la mujer que queda al cuidado de los hijos mientras que su esposo va a la guerra. La descripción de la situación y los términos utilizados en el texto indican claramente el estrato social de los personajes y el trasfondo medieval.
“The departure of the husband”.

The woman who is taking care of the children while her husband goes to war also is an often used story in pan-Europe ballads . The description of the situation and the terms used in the text clearly indicate the social class the characters belong to and their medieval background.
In contrast to the female characters described in these three songs, the romance reveals another nature of women: the one who defies the rules of conduct and follows her lover.
